Social skills and competences

 

Social skills: As a person I can show understanding, friendliness, and respect for feelings, take an interest in what people say and why they think and act as they do.

 

Team work: As a researcher and trainer I have worked successfully in various types of research teams in several events and EU projects contributing to group with ideas and effort; creating and sharing my work, encouraging team members, resolving differences for the benefit of the team and responsibly challenging existing procedures, policies, or authorities.

 

Research and practice on collaboration:I have also done a Ph.D research in innovative collaboration methodologies and models and in fact I have developed and applied in different contexts the Webquest 2.0 Methodology and the Collaborative Learning Model (CBLM) that have as base the collaboration activities. I have also used team work based methodologies in my language lessons.

 

Easy integration and adaptation to new situations: I have successfully done different jobs of different disciplines during the same period.

 

Good communication skills: As a teacher, trainer & researcher I have been in continuous contact with many educators and researchers from different parts of the world & from several disciplines (computer science, social science, politics, education etc). I have also given successfully many conference presentations, i have taken several live radio interviews in Pan-European events (e.g.ECER, ONLINE EDUCA) and I have been a rapporteur in important EU TEL events. I have also been invited as a Keynote speaker, etc.

 

Generally, I have developed very strong and respectful social relations with many colleagues trainees and students.

 

 

Organisational skills and competences

 

I have good organisation and coordination capacities, a sense of leadership and guidance and a good time management.

 

Practical examples: I have co-organised and chaired several international workshops, roundtables, Conferences, Symposia, Summer Schools. Furthermore, I have been an assistant project manager of several EU projects and I have organised and managed several seminars, training sessions (on line and face to face) . Besides that I have designed, developed and organised the curriculum of the lessons that I have taught in several educational institutes,universities etc.
